Forth Valley Motorcycle Club Established 1966 FVMCC BarbeeQue at Mr Bakers 2003
Hoss came up with an idea to have a barbie at his mate Charlies. After a bit of strimming some grass (2 acres of wild scrub land) we had Charlies back garden looking like someplace we could use. Charlie and some of the club erected the marquee and on Friday night we began arriving. Charlies son in law provided a big BIG PA system and some disco lights, we took our barrel barbies and set them up on some scafolding we found lying around. A couple of kegs of Harviestoun Breweries most excellent Schiehallion beer, a real ale come lager type of beer, were set up on upside down wheel barrows and it was time to start partying.
Thanks Charlie, Christine and all the family who helped out and made a great weekend.
Thanks also to Billy, Joe and Marion, Rab, Raymond, Ian and all from the CVMCC who turned up.
Now the pictures.
As usual a fair amount of ale was consumed. The music was blasting at an unbeleivable volume. The ground, having once been scrub and full of ruts and furrows didnt prevent the party animals from getting up to dance. The usual semi robotic thing we all do when pissed.
Billy from the Clyde Valley MCC finaly switched the generator off at half past four in the morning.
Saturday was much the same again except Charlie lit a big bonfire which seemed to keep everyone sitting aroud outside instead of going in the marquee.
One of the early members of the FVMCC, Joe Carty who made a recent return to biking with a new Heritage Softail made his first visit back to the club in the afternoon. It was good to see Joe and hopefuly he'll come back to the club and visit us occasionaly.
The party raged on and the bonfire got bigger. Much bigger when we chucked a setee on. Its amazing the heat that comes off one of them things when they burn.
The music got louder and the drink was being drunk. That drum kit took a fair pounding as well.
I've no idea what time the genny was finaly shut down as I was carted of to bed around 2 am with the party still going. Great stuff that Schehallion. Now its Sunday the heads sore, Ive still got to go back over to Charlies to pick up some stuff and all thats left to be said is "what a great time everybody had"
In case your wondering why theres a bloke washing his car in here its just evidence to prove that Hoss did make it back after disappearing on Saturday morning. He got back to Charlies just in time to get his lunch on Sunday afternoon.
