Amulree Invitation Weekend Sept.2000

After breakfast we went on a ride out up to Rannoch Station and back. The roads from Amulree to Aberfeldy and on to Rannoch Station then back via the South Loch Rannoch road were fantastic with some long fast bits but mostly narrow tight turns ideally suited to Chris and Sue on their KTM Dukes. Annabel on her Yam TZ125 (L rider) managed to stay within a few minutes of the nutters at the front. Young Lesley (11) riding pillion on her dad John's BM was rarely in the saddle on some of the more bumpy bits but managed a smile none the less at Rannoch as she tucked into her Chocolate Gateaux. Jill on her 135k mile CB400/4 managed the run as well as the long journey up from Lancashire. Jane and Peter who rode up from Birmingham missed the run but had an enjoyable walk in the Perthshire Hills.
After the run we all enjoyed sitting in the hotel grounds with a few GALLONS of France's finest grape juice (that's what we call a picnic). Dave and Carol arrived from West Lothian in time for dinner whilst Simon and Gary who rode up from Shields were the last to arrive. (How did you find this place in the dark lads?).
As the evening went on it was a competition between Coby and Pete to see who could be the most drunk without falling down. At the end of the night it was a draw. Although Coby was slightly more risqué by trying to take pictures of Diamond Dave as a trueScotsman, as he tried to camouflage himself with his non tartan kilt.
The club would like to extend a big thanks for coming, to guests who traveled from afar
THANKS FOLKS.
