A wee trip up the glens to join the Special K MCC at their 25th Auld Reekie rally.
A great wee site and fantastic weather made for a great wee rally. This year saw a return to the decade when it all started and most folks wore something that resembled the garb worn in the 1970's.Big lapels, flares, flower power and ABBA were the order of theday. Entertainment was provided by Troggs disco and that excellent 70's cover band Leiutenant Stardust who both did a fantastic job keeping everybody bouncing around the dancefloor. Once I discovered the Skull Splitter on draught (8.9% abv) I'm afraid the night became a bit blurred quite quickly so I didnt find out any of the awards. Still managed to stagger around until about half past three in the morning and having just enough wherewithall to realise I was begining to make a right dick of meself (isnt that why we all go to rallies) it was time for bed. All in all another great wee rally and a big thanks to the SpecialK for putting up with us.
