Forth Valley Motorcycle Club Established 1966 BBB start of season 4
I know its not quite right to call this a start of season party coz we are a club who host a winter rally but for most folks its this time of year when they dig their bikes out of hibernation, give them a dusting and all sorts of other things to prep them for the warmer months to come. As luck would have it the last three years have been glorious sunshine but this year we had a change in weather and it rained non stop from mid day on. This didnt deter the hardy many who arrived to have another great day. Carol being her usual organised self went out and bought another two 4mx3m gazebos to add to the two I'd already erected. The barbies were thus suitably protected from the rain. What about the cold wind that was howling round the building and threating to freeze us all to death and carry off Carol's shiny new gazebos? After a few drinks were downed spirits were raised and nobody cared about the weather. Having a total of 4 barbies on the go meant it was warm enough for most of us and the colder people were made welcome inside the house. After burning 100 kgs of charcoal and roasting all manner of sausages and burgers everyone went inside and sat around the house getting drunk, merry and more drunk. Steve provided the silly games indoors and kept everyone in the dining room amused by trying to electrocute them while the rest danced about the living room to the strange sounds coming from the music system. I forgot to tell everyone it only knows how to play heavy metal or blues.Everybody partied on till the wee sma oors, interupted occasionaly by the sound of Rabs Harley which was fired up from time to time just to remind every one they were at a biker doo. I've not seen any neighbours yet to find out how far into the bad books we are as the Harley kicks out about 120 decibels from its pipes and the sirens drown them out. I hope they werent too startled at 1:30 AM as it was reved to 5000 so we could watch the flames spitting from the straight throughs. The party was over quite early this year as we only stayed up to about 3 oclock.(must be getting old). All in all a great do and wed like to thank all who came especialy our good friends from the Clyde Valley MCC (who nearly outnumbered us again). Thanx to all who came and here's to next year so we can do it all again
Coby! King of the barrels for the evening.
Perfect barbie weather meant we only needed the gazebos to stop us from getting sun stroke!!!
Steve took charge of the silly games at the dinner table
Oi!! Mrs Mac! Leave my big brother alone!!!!
Ian has the other half of this photo
Would you two stop watching Coronation Street !
Nice embroidery. Almost makes you want a Harley so you can join the club
Last year we had nine bikes in this garage. This year Rab parked his Electra Glide in and completely hid an RF900, a GSX 1400 and a GSX 400. Its so big it didnt leave any room for any more bikes but OOOOHH what a noise. Nice dashboard/cockpit as well.
We might even consider starting the season in July so we get better weather.
